Life here is deeply tied to tradition, with locals primarily making their living through farming and fishing.

The picturesque island is not only blessed with volcanic soil but also rich in minerals.

This is because of its chalk-mining history, which is where it gets its name as “kimolia” is the Greek word for chalk.

Kimolos is known for its pristine sandy and pebbled beaches, as well as its secluded coves.

Like many other Cycladic islands, Kimolos boasts signature whitewashed houses, cobblestone streets, stunning beaches, a lively Chora village, and warm-hearted locals.

All of this, with its sunny weather, combines to make it a truly captivating destination.

The average temperature in Kimolos in September is around 26C on average throughout the day, and 19C on a night.

Flights to Greece from the UK are frequent from most airports and tickets can be bought relatively cheaply depending on when you fly.
