On Thursday, Iran reportedly suspended all air traffic to carry out military drills, leading many to believe Iran’s strike could come soon.

This came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that he is preparing for threats outside of Gaza, hinting that he is readying his forces for confrontation with Iran.

Netanyahu said: “We are in challenging times. We are in the middle of the war in Gaza that continues at full force, at the same time we continue our nonstop efforts to return our hostages.

“But we are also preparing for scenarios of challenges from other arenas. We established a simple principle – Whoever hurts us, we will hurt them.

“We are prepared to meet all of the security needs of the State of Israel, both defensively and offensively.”

Israel is already over six months into its military campaign in Gaza aiming to “destroy Hamas” after the group killed 1,200 Israelis on October 7.

Hamas is one of the many groups in the Middle East supported by Iran that has launched attacks on Israel.

Israel responded to October 7 by launching its military campaign which has killed over 33,000 people in Gaza.

The country has also exchanged rocket fire with Hezbollah, another Iranian proxy, at the Israeli-Lebanese border.

  1. As tensions escalate between Israel and Iran, it’s crucial for both sides to prioritize peaceful resolutions and avoid further conflict. War only results in suffering for innocent civilians and destabilizes the region.

  2. Israel should prioritize diplomatic solutions instead of escalating tensions with Iran. Military actions will only lead to more suffering and loss of innocent lives.
