Valldemossa in Majorca is one of the most searched-for villages in the area for September bookings.

Prices to stay in the area in September are almost 25 percent lower than in August – making it a popular holiday destination for autumn.

The village is surrounded by mountains and is home to beautiful nature while also being famous for its historic charm.

While you are there, you can visit the Cartoixa de Valldemossa monumental complex in Mallorca which was founded as a royal residence and later converted into a monastery.

Today, it is open to the public and is a beautiful place to visit. Visitors are often impressed by its architecture and the views of the village from the top of the tower.

There are also Chopin piano concerts held there throughout the day as it was once home to this famous composer and pianist.

To get to Valldemossa, you should fly to Palma Mallorca airport, which is just 30 minutes away by car.

If you can arrange your trip to visit the village on the weekend, you’ll be able to catch the weekly Sunday market. Home to many treasures including local crafts, souvenir pieces and food featuring local produce – there is something which will interest everyone here.

For hikers, you can head out into the mountains but make sure you are properly prepared with the right equipment as it can get very hot in the area.

A great place to stay in Valldemossa is the Bordoy Continental Valldemossa, which is a much-loved hotel in the area. One guest on Tripadvisor said: “We loved the location of the hotel. Our room in the old part of the hotel was beautiful and light, with magnificent views of the spectacular landscape.

“It was my husband’s birthday when we were there and to our astonishment we had several treats, starting with a candle on a cake at breakfast.”

If you’re looking to visit somewhere different this autumn, Valldemossa could be the perfect place for you to soak up some sun before winter.
