LAS VEGAS (TCD) — Police recently arrested a missing teen from Idaho after he allegedly fatally stabbed a woman in Las Vegas last month.

According to a news release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, on April 29 at around 7:35 a.m., officers responded to West Sahara Avenue, where they discovered a female victim dead in a dumpster with multiple stab wounds. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death and positively identify the woman, but police said the victim’s death is a homicide.

According to KLAS-TV, she was between 59 and 60 years old and died about two days before her body was found.

Police allege 18-year-old Lincoln Boe, who was reported missing out of Idaho, fatally stabbed the victim. During an interview with police, Boe reportedly said he drove to Las Vegas because he “wanted to get away and have some freedom.”

Investigators obtained surveillance footage allegedly showing the woman pushing a shopping cart near the dumpster behind a business at approximately 3 p.m. on April 27. Around an hour later, KLAS reports that Boe is seen on footage parking a car and then searching through the dumpster. Boe reportedly entered the business through the front 20 minutes later and asked about cameras in the back.

According to an arrest report reviewed by KLAS, an employee led Boe to the cameras to show him where they were, and Boe seemed “excited” and did a “little dance.” Boe allegedly went back to the dumpster at around 4:50 p.m., and investigators allege he was trying to hide his crimes.

Police arrested Boe on May 2 and booked him into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. He remains held without bail.

  1. It’s horrifying to think that a missing teenager could commit such a brutal crime. The victim didn’t deserve this tragedy. These events remind us of the importance of community safety and mental health support for young individuals.

  2. It’s truly horrifying to think about the senseless violence and loss of life in this tragedy. How can a young person like Lincoln Boe be capable of such a heinous act? My heart goes out to the victim and her loved ones.
