A Frontier Airlines pilot was arrested just before take off, leading to the cancellation of a scheduled flight.

The pilot, identified as 45-year-old Seymour Walker, was apprehended by Houston police on an outstanding warrant for assault-family violence.

Walker was preparing for take off at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, on Saturday night.

He was arrested just before passengers were set to board Flight 3195, which was bound for Dallas-Fort Worth.

Law enforcement timed the arrest strategically, waiting until the aircraft reached its assigned gate around 4 p.m.

Officers then boarded the empty plane and took Walker into custody without incident.

In video footage uploaded on social media platform, X, Walker could be seen being escorted out of the plane in handcuffs, after removing his stripes.

Frontier Airlines confirmed the situation, stating that Walker was arrested before the boarding process began.

Due to the sudden lack of a replacement crew, the airline had no choice but to cancel the flight.

To compensate for the disruption, Frontier Airlines offered affected passengers a full refund, flight credit, or a spot on the next available flight.

In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) noted that they will be looking into the issue.

“Airlines report incidents such as this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues,” they said.
